RENO,
Nev. – Longtime Nevadan Mike Young has been named REALTOR® of the Year by
the Nevada Association of REALTORS® (NVAR).
The REALTOR® of the Year award is the
highest award bestowed upon a member of the association. It represents
outstanding achievements serving the NVAR, the real estate profession and the
community.
The award was presented Oct. 7 during an
event at the Hyatt Incline Village, where NVAR also installed 2012 President
Blane Johnson and its other officers for the coming year.
Young, who is completing his one-year
term as president of NVAR for 2011, works as a REALTOR® with Chase International in Incline

Young
said his main goal as president of NVAR was to “bring NVAR members together to
build a more unified profession through integrity and vision.”

he earned degrees in biology and special education. Before becoming a REALTOR®,
Young taught special education courses and volunteered to work with young
